Next useful step
Move from information to organized action.
These links keep the next step practical without forcing patients to search the whole site again.
DOL explains that FMLA applies to eligible employees of covered employers and provides job-protected leave for qualifying family and medical reasons. Patients should verify coverage, eligibility, certification instructions, and deadlines with the employer’s official process.
Serious health condition language should stay accurate
DOL describes a serious health condition as one involving inpatient care or continuing treatment by a health-care provider, generally involving incapacity. DOL also explains that chronic conditions may qualify when they cause occasional incapacity and require treatment by a health-care provider at least twice a year.
Continuous leave may involve treatment, recovery, or a block of incapacity.
Intermittent leave may involve flares, appointments, or episodic incapacity when certified.
Reduced schedule leave may need clear provider certification and employer instructions.
Paid leave, disability benefits, workers' compensation, and employer policies may interact with FMLA but are not the same thing.
What this builder creates
The builder creates a leave-prep worksheet with leave pattern, dates, documentation questions, prior contact, and next-step language. It does not calculate eligibility, determine legal rights, or submit any certification.
